"Papery"

One last stop before the wedding day! I thought this would be a good time to show you all the "papery" details from our wedding. I say it in quotations because we didn't get many real life photos of our menu, ceremony card, etc, so I have a few screen captures from illustrator instead.

Wayne Theibaud inspired dessert evite.

For those of you creating your own invitation suite, etc, you might feel me when I say Illustrator became our frienemy during the wedding process. After creating our own invitation suite, we decided to keep the DIY train roll'n by designing and printing our own ceremony cards, menus, place cards, and food/drink labels. We also saved a few trees by sending evitations for the rehearsal dinner and dessert at my parent's house (seen above). To keep everything matchy we used the same font & flourish sets and color scheme throughout.

The rehearsal evite, with a bit of inspiration from Penguin's menus.

Our ceremony card, front and reverse.

We printed these using a regular printer and slightly off-white cover weight paper from Paper Source. You can't see it here but it says "Just Married" on the short bus. I had made paper poms to decorate the bus, but rain prevented me from using them! I had considered making the bus' poms out of yarn but just couldn't find the time - you may way to consider this for any out door pom decorations, just incase.

Our lovely menu.

We used the same paper and printing method for our menus. A few days prior I noticed it was missing the crabcake remoulade (surprise!). We were out of paper and in PA so we just rolled with the omission and figured people will know we're serving it when they see it! I love the adorable depiction of the barn where our reception was held that the Hubs designed.

Food and drink title cards.

Sweet and simple. I backed these with a sparkly grey cover weight paper and made a little "T" shaped to stick to the backs to keep our cards standing up right. By the way - the sweet tea lemonade was a HIT. I highly recommend trying it out.

Alright it's time to get on to the wedding day isn't it!? - Coming up next!
