Dessert and a Photo shoot!

We had just finished up our rehearsal and were moseying on down to my parent's house for dessert. But before we went inside, one of our fabulous friends pulled us aside to take some photos of us with the sunset. When he couldn't find a good spot for us with the sunset, it turned into a little prewedding mini shoot across the street!

This was great because we were extremely awkward, which is why I'm only showing you three of these, but I think it helped us get ready to be in front of the camera on our wedding day. Afterwards, it was about time we visited with our guests. My mom had a slew of desserts out- cheesecakes, tiramisu, creme de mente bars, a pumpkin roll, and a warm fruit cobbler with ice cream. Mmm. Sadly I didn't get a picture of the spread, but I know she broke out some of her beautiful stanglware for the occasion.

I had also put together a little something for our friends and family to enjoy that doubled as a keepsake. Via My Publisher, I made a photobook of the two of us from age zero until a few months prior to our wedding. I loved pouring through our old photographs and gathering up our school pictures, and it seemed like a hit with our guests!

Ages two and three.

It was around 8 or 9 pm. We were all full of sugar, and thank goodness for it because rest was far off. After dessert a group of fantastic friends volunteered to come to the barn with us to sort out some last minute decorating and moving furniture around. Oh, and yes, the flowers.

While dessert was fun and I'm sure it was appreciated by our guests, it would have been nice to head straight to the barn after our rehearsal to finish things up instead of working into the night. Sa la vie!

Up next: Delegation time, and I start to show signs of crazy!
