REJECTED

Two Sundays from now our engagement announcemend is finally going into our hometown's papers - only 8 months after the fact. Our engagement photos were taken by Claude Shade and his crew from Ck's then employer GSP.  These are the smiling faces that we wanted to greet everyone on Sunday.

Nice?  Well the newspaper REJECTED it!  Now, I'm not going to pretend beauty this good just takes a handful of folks holding umbrellas over you and one of the biggest cameras out there. We've all seen models get their photos tweaked no one cares! So if these smiling faces happened in real-life in two different photos but were put together so we could both have our best smiles, who cares right?? Well when I sent it in the layers somehow separated, and the paper told us they do not accept tampered with photos.  Tell me, what false information are we trying to sneak by here? Headline: "Dear GC (pop. 8k) we just wanted to let you know that we saved you from believing these two people are getting married, when in fact an erica two seconds older is really marrying this man.  Boycott the wedding."

Here is our backup photo that cannot get rejected because its the actual photo, cropped.  I let chris keep his best face because his face in my first choice photo was pretty hilarious, therefore it stays in our private collection.

They are so painfully similar why not just let us keep the first one?? We are really disappointed the paper had to get all high and mighty on us for being unphotogenic.  We're hoping they will come around, but I have a feeling my less excitable face will hit the paper's Sunday.  Bleh.

Hey, I stumbled across your blog. It's interesting and I like your writing style. The newspaper company seems pretty jerky for that one :/ Which picture did they end up using?
