Along with Chris' sister Jenna, I chose four girls who I've known since as far back as fourth grade to be my bridesmaids. In High School the five of us would get together and play poker calling ourselves the 'poker girls'. Half of one wall in my room was covered with photos from these nights. I think there is a video floating around somewhere taken during a poker night - I must find it .. along with an old photo to add to this.
So let me introduce you to them starting with my Maid of Honor Lindsay! Lindsay has moved to the West Coast and is working 6 hours away outside LA. She recently came up to SF for thanksgiving and hopefully we'll make another trip south to see her again soon.
Next up, Amber. Amber is married, and living in Albany NY. For Amber's wedding she also had Jess, Jackie, Lindsay and myself, along with her sister, as her bridesmaids! Today, she is a master of working hard and playing hard.
Jess Shenker is living in the Big Apple and working for Cosmo. She is always up to something fun like going to fashion week and meeting designers! A true New Yorker, with an undying liking of street fairs and ponies.
Jackie Pino and her new husband are living in Culpeper VA. Jackie is the first among the poker girls to lay roots down and to buy a house and shares my enthusiasm for weddings! Her own wedding last year was simply beautiful so I had to pick a photo from it.
And this brings me to Chris' youngest sibling, his sister Jenna Kelly. I remember Jenna always being busy with sports, from volleyball to basketball. Now she is at Penn State Behrend - Lindsay's alma mater, studying nutrition and is heading to main campus next year!
